AP Courses Prepare Students for College
At Royal Academy Education, our AP (Advanced Placement) courses challenge students to develop their knowledge and skills while preparing students planning to continue on to college, for success.
Advanced Placement courses for homeschooled students prepare the ambitious high school student for college level courses while providing a way to obtain college credit while still in high school.
AP Courses Offered
These courses are intense and reward the student with 2 credits which gives them an advantage toward their total course load. The courses we offer are: We need a 6 month notice to set these up as most of our students just dual enroll in local colleges to get college credit.
- Comparative Government
- US Government
- U.S. History
- Literature and Composition
- Human Geography
We teach these courses personally by presenting on Watchitoo, a meeting site that allows for secure meetings.
We work personally present, lecturing, teaching and assigning work. We correct the work and provide the grades. Each teacher has at least a Master’s Degree and we work hard to help the student achieve a passing score on the AP test.
AP Testing
The tests are offered at our Gray, Maine office at 15 Shaker Rd. The cost is $1600/year plus books and materials.
If the student wants credit in school there is an addition $300 for the recognition and transcript. (Note: Royal Academy Students who are enrolled full time would not have to pay this extra fee.)
This is one on 1-10 teaching and mentoring for the whole school year. This is not a “self taught” course, but one that is highly interactive on Zoom. Call us at 207-627-2880 for more details.
